RICHARD NEUTRA
Richard Neutra was born in Vienna in 1892, where his interest for architecture began early. His university education was interrupted by the World War I at the end of which he could graduate. He worked years in Europe and also convinced by friends, Neutra left for the United States. In his buildings the architect used technology to create a contact with nature: he became a well-known exponent of modernism by designing buildings around the world. For Martinelli Luce he designed the floor lamp V.D.L.
